Ombudsman Information - Sasebo

An Ombudsman provides a vital link between the Commanding Officer and the families. Both the Ombudsman and the Family Readiness Group (FRG) are Command-appointed and important to mission readiness; while the FRG focuses on morale-building activities and serves in a social capacity, the Ombudsman is responsible for providing information and referral services while notifying the Commanding Officer of any known issues within the Command’s families. Ombudsmen are held to a firm code of ethics that focuses on mission readiness, working within the chain of command, professionalism, and strict confidentiality. If you are interested in becoming an Ombudsman, learning more about the program, or offering a suggestion, please contact the Ombudsman Coordinator at the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC).
