Ombudsman Information - Sasebo

An Ombudsman provides a vital link between the Commanding Officer and the families. Both the Ombudsman and the Family Readiness Group (FRG) are Command-appointed and important to mission readiness; while the FRG focuses on morale-building activities and serves in a social capacity, the Ombudsman is responsible for providing information and referral services while notifying the Commanding Officer of any known issues within the Command’s families. Ombudsmen are held to a firm code of ethics that focuses on mission readiness, working within the chain of command, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
